Denim Dinner at Fab'rik

Fab'rik in Chapel Hill hosted an intimate fashion show and dinner featuring their designer denim line-up for the season. Local stylists and bloggers came together to see the best of everyone's fall wardrobe staple- jeans! The food was fresh and delicious, and the conversation fashion-forward, just the way I like my dinners :-)

Fab'rik is always one of my favorite places to go when pulling for a fashion shoots because their clothes are consistently chic and edgy, yet practical. They carry the kinds of essential jeans that go with you through major life stages because they literally last forever!  Some of those brands include Hudson, 7, Paige, Spanx and DL1961 (my personal favorites of the night).

Small fashion shows are the best because you can really get up close and personal with the clothes and the live commentary is always fun.  Rachel Rana of The GYST of Things blog made an appearance and I had to get a picture with her! After some necessary shopping, we headed to the Southland Ballroom in downtown Raleigh and had a blast at the Snarky Puppy
Show. It was a lovely evening indeed!

Thanks Fab'rik!!

New York Dolls

On a recent trip to NYC, Sarah, Afaf, Arlyn and I headed to a burlesque show at Nurse Betty's. We dressed accordingly, just in case they needed us on stage (which they did). I wore a sheer black baby-doll dress with white ankle socks for added sweetness.

Arlyn stays true to her super luxe, sexy aesthetic in leather pants, a crop top and chunky leopard pumps. Afaf channels the vintage spirit of burlesque in a black fringe dress, complete with long pearl strands.  She maintains her signature bad-assery with custom machine gun printed tights accented by gold glitter platform boots.

Later in the evening we saw the most AMAZING belly dancer at an Egyptian lounge and danced the night away! I <3 NY!
